DANANG

Woohoo! The sun returned for our quick trip to Danang - Vietnam's fourth largest city - and only 30km from HoiAn.
Just had a day to wander round the Museum of Cham sculpture and then down to 'China Beach' - the well known American R&R stop during the Vietnam war. Not the tourist time of year as the beach was deserted with stormy waves crashing in, but still a beautiful spot.
Around SE Asia we've been dining in cafes and resturants that have been created to support good causes and we found another one in Danang to support. This was a cafe that employs and trains young deaf Vietnamese in the skills needed to run a restaurant. We had an amazing breakfast there (ok it wasnt the typical Vietnamese breakfast!) but a huge American style with pancakes as big as your head! Mmmm.......
